Overcoming Adversity with Nathan Nguyen Part 1

On today’s podcast we chat with Nathan Nguyen.  Nathan has an amazing story of how he and his family overcame extreme adversity.  His father fought alongside the United States Army during the Vietnam War. After the fall of Saigon, he was captured and became a prisoner of war for nine and a half years. During that time his mother struggled day and night to take care of four young children, never giving up hope in her husband’s return. Eventually his parents immigrated to the United States.

After high school Nathan made it his goal to learn all he could about money, success, and personal development. Using that knowledge, he went on to make several million dollars in college. He is passionate about sharing his knowledge and teaching financial concepts to the younger generation.  He shares some great tips with us on how young people can be successful. Here’s what we discuss in part one:

Why adversity is a blessing,

The value of time,

Why mistakes are a good thing,

How you can be successful, no matter what you do,

And why a high income doesn’t make you wealthy.
